From tricot COMME des GARÇONS Autumn/Winter 2000, this sculptural maxi skirt is constructed from multiple curved panels, joined and subtly twisted to create a voluminous, three-dimensional silhouette. The skirt tapers gently towards the hem, forming a rounded, cocoon-like shape with an architectural sense of volume.

Cut from relatively lightweight, supple wool, the fabric falls softly while retaining the structure of its distinctive silhouette. When stationary, the skirt resembles a partially closed flower bud; in motion, the individual panels unfold and shift, creating a fluid interplay between sculptural form and natural movement.
